Summary of the Anglo-Nordic Biotech Conference I

On April 1 2004, the Nordic Trade Councils together with the UK Trade & Investment organised the first follow-up conference to the highly appreciated Anglo-Swedish Biotech Conference II in April 2003 at the London Stock Exchange in London. The Conference was held at DTI's selected Conference Centre on 1 Victoria Street.

In total approximately 160 key decision makers from 100 British and Nordic drug discovery, pharmaceutical and venture capital companies attended the one-day conference.

The main aim of the conference was to promote and initiate partnership and alliances between the regions, provide information about the latest news on European funding and to develop a forum that will make the European biotech market even more competitive.

Conference benefits included an interactive website with possibilities of pre-arranging meetings.
